Brian Butler is Associate Professor and Chair of the Philosophy Department at the University of North Carolina, Asheville.  He is a co-founder of the Flood Gallery, a non-profit alternative art space in Asheville.  He recently curated a show at the Black Mountain Museum + Art Center on one of his favorite professors in art school - Emerson Woelffer.  He also writes on the philosophy of law.
