Peter Huk has lectured at the University of Tennessee in Knoxville and is currently an independent scholar living in Santa Barbara.  He received his doctorate degree in Comparative Literature from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles.  In his primary research he examines the philosophical question of representation as it pertains to the Central European "age of the Antichrist" of the 1890s and, more recently, the
"witnessing of history" in contemporary American visual culture.
