John Marmysz is an instructor of philosophy at Corning Community College in Corning, New York.  He received his Ph.D. in philosophy from the State University of New York at Buffalo in February of 2001. John has philosophical interests in the areas of aesthetics, existentialism, and nihilism. His dissertation, titled Laughing at Nothing: Humor as a Response to Nihilism, proposes that the experience of nihilism might legitimately be responded to with an attitude of good humor.  John may be contacted by email at:  geinster@aol.com
