Barine Saana Ngaage is an Associate Professor of African Literature in the Department of English and Literary Studies, Niger Delta University, Nigeria.  He was an Acting Head of Department in 2010.  He is a Fellow of Corporate Administration Institute and the Keynote Address Presenter of the 17th Anniversary in 2010.  He has presented papers in Nigeria and other countries and, has served as chairman of parallel sessions.  He has published papers in reputable journals and presses.  He is a member of the Association of Nigerian Authors.  He has read his poems at the British Council and Universities in Nigeria, and Chotro, India.  He is the author of the poetry: The Earth Listens, Rhythm of Crises and Song of Dawn and, the book  ,Essays On Polemical ,Political and Social Issues.  He won the Editor’s Choice Award for outstanding Achievement in Poetry from The National Library of Poetry in 1994.  He is the pioneer of Ogoni Oral Literature; member American Folklore Society, Linguistic Association of Nigeria, English and Literature Teachers Association of Nigeria.  The pioneer chairman of African American Association of Nigeria, College of Education chapter.
