Priyanka Tripathi is an Assistant Professor of English at IIT, Patna. She obtained her PhD from IIT, Kharagpur and her PhD dissertation was titled, “Sexual is Political: Gender, Body and Language in Indian Women’s Short Fiction in English”. During her research, she received the much coveted Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fellowship awarded to doctoral students across Asia, administered by Jawaharlal Nehru Memorial Fund, Teen Murti Bhawan, New Delhi. She has a First Class throughout her academic career and was recipient of National Merit Scholarship.  She was a Project Assistant for the project "First Person Narration: An Interactive Account of Indian Short Fiction in English" for ISIRD, IIT Kharagpur. She was also a Co-coordinator of MHRD/AICTE Sponsored Winter School on "Imaginative Reading, Creative Writing" and Program Secretary for MHRD/AICTE backed Summer School on "Functional English for Science and Engineering Teachers". In her teaching span of more than ten years, she has taught various courses pertaining to English Language and Literature. She has published articles in reputed journals like Muse India, Indian Journal of World Literature and Culture, IUP Journal of English Studies etc. and presented papers in many national/international conferences held in India and abroad.
