Therapeutic Laughter – Participatory Workout

This session offers us the opportunity to focus on our laughter, the sounds we make, the emotional barriers we put up to laughter, and how we feel after a good bout of joyful laughter. It is based on participatory games which encourage laughing; (it is not based on jokes and words).  Laughter changes our physiology, and during the session (and after it) we can observe how the laughing affects the way in which we interact with our surroundings; however, participants are requested to fully take part, and to leave their analysis until after the session.  Activities may include Laughter Yoga ‘Laughter Club’ type exercises, stress managing exercises  using laughter, and a laughter meditation.  The session will include a brief discussion / description of the application of therapeutic laughter, the meaning of our laughter, and the health benefits.
